About Us

Desiree Hastey was born and raised in the Yuba Sutter community. She has been involved in property management and real estate sales for several years. Her mom was an offsite apartment manager while Desiree was growing up. When she got married she helped her father in law manage his rentals. She attended the University of California, Merced and graduated magna cum laude in the founding class with a Bachelor of Science. After graduating Desiree moved back to the Plumas Lake area opened and ran Plumas Lake Self Storage. In 2011, Jared and Desiree started Plumas Lake Properties and grew to about 100 properties, at that time they incorporated the company to Plumas Lake Properties, Inc. Once that was successful they opened Plumas Lake Properties (the real estate sales division). Desiree is active with NARPM, CalNARPM, and the local Sacramento NARPM chapter to help promote best practices with property manager across the nation. Desiree currently serves as the Area 4 Trustee on the Yuba County Board of Education.

Jared Hastey was born and raised in the Plumas Lake community before it was called Plumas Lake. Jared helped his father manage his rentals while he was growing up. He attended the University of California, Merced and graduated in the founding class with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. His final semester of college was spent at UC Sacramento experiencing the capital and completing an internship. Jared obtained his real estate sale agent license in 2010 and decided to gets his broker’s license in January 2011. At that time Jared and Desiree started Plumas Lake Properties and grew to about 100 properties, at that time they incorporated the company to Plumas Lake Properties, Inc. Jared participates in several NARPM, CalNARPM, and the local Sacramento NARPM chapter events throughout the year to help promote best practices with property manager across the nation. Jared currently lives in Plumas Lake with his wife, toddler son and newborn daughter.

Kim is originally from the Northern California Area. She graduated from Fall River Jr. Sr, High and went on to earn her bachelors in Business Administration and her Masters in Human Resources and Organizational Development. In 2010, her family moved to the Plumas Lake area.

Kim is a mother to three boys and is very family oriented and values time with her family. She enjoys cheering for her children during football games, going camping, and spending time at home with a good book and cup of tea.

Currently Kim is the administrative assistant to Plumas Lake Properties, Inc. This position allows Kim to learn more about Real Estate and Kim is looking forward to earning her Certified Support Specialist Designation in 2017.
